How often do we find ourselves with good intentions of having the one drink to be sociable or relaxed, with it then to turn into a session?
How often do we wake up with a thumping sore head with the hangover from hell, swearing that this will be “last time I ever drink”?
After painkillers and drinking what feels like a gallon of juice, we are then saying “I will never get in that state again”, only to go out the following weekend to do exactly the same thing… Sound familiar?
The Wrecked Campaign supports drinking alcohol safely, by asking young people “Do you know you are drinking?” and promoting the following key messages….
- Avoid drinking on an empty stomach
- Pace yourself, there's no rush - drink slowly
- Drink soft drinks in between alcoholic ones
- Don't leave yourself vulnerable - plan your journey home
- Drink plenty of water to rehydrate
- Over-done it? Have at least two alcohol-free day
